“We wish there was something we could do to stop them,” explained a spokesperson who would also like to remain anonymous. When you stay in a vacation rental in Port Aransas provided by The Dunes, you’ll enjoy easy access to the beach and the crashing waves of the Gulf. We’re also close to the Red Dragon Pirate Cruise and many other activities, attractions, shopping, and dining the area has to offer. We offer units all the way up to three bedrooms for all your pirate pals. Prepare a delicious home-cooked meal in the fully equipped kitchen.
Kids can get their faces painted with a mighty pirate moustache! This tough face surely helps improve the sword fighting skills. Take your aim at the pirates in a shootout on board the pirate ship. Kids and adults of all ages will enjoy the costumed characters, sword fighting, water gun battle, treasure hunting, dolphin watching, and storytelling. As the ship cruises the Lydia Ann Channel, new crew members of all ages will take part in sword fighting, treasure hunting, firing the cannons, and searching for sea life.
Afterward, spread out in an open living space for a movie or to relax. Enjoy the view from the private balcony or patio or spend some time near the pool. During summer, pre-cruise entertainment activities will begin at the start of your tour time.
There’s even pre-cruise entertainment in the summer months before departure. Red Dragon Pirate Cruises is an adventure for the entire family aboard a custom 70-foot pirate ship. Embark on the waters of Aransas Bay for more than two hours of pirate-themed fun. Board our custom pirate ship for an experience that brings the whole family together. For kids, the cruise included water gun fights, a chance for kids to mop the deck and gain some valuable life skills, and of course sword fights. On a recent trip to Port Aransas I came across Red Dragon Pirate Cruises and immediately got excited.
Swordfighting, pistol duels and even some buried treasure are only some of the items that make this a unique Port Aransas Jewel. Reservations are recommended and make sure to arrive 30 minutes before your boat sets sail for the preshow. Sadly they didn’t have the happy hour cruise when I went, but they assured me that the daily cruise was great for kids and adults alike. We loaded the ship with pirates leading the way pretending we were their recruits.
Our vessel resembles ships of the past, but sets sail with the latest in technology, heads (bathrooms), and amenities.
